REQUIRED COURSE MATERIALS
THESE MATERIALS ARE REQUIRED AND NECESSARY FOR PASSING THE COURSE.
Yes, you need access to the text, whether via hard-copy or ebook. A subscription is available through UA's Access Granted program, which allows you access to the content on the first day of class with the cost being billed to your student account. You may opt out of this program, but you are still responsible for the required class materials.
Please note that students are solely responsible for ensuring they have the properly functioning materials to complete all course work and keep up with course announcements, reminders, and updates. "I don't understand Packback" is not an acceptable excuse for missing required work.
- Consistent, reliable Internet access
- Various materials linked in the Blackboard learning modules, including the textbook(s). Note that not all of the lecture materials will come from the book, and not all of the book materials will be covered during lectures. Therefore, when you are preparing for a quiz or exam, you should study all available materials (not just the book).
- Chrome browser (not all course material will work properly on Safari, Firefox, etc.)
- UA Box
- Appropriate technology for completing course assignments and work (laptop, PC, reliable Internet access, etc.).
- Anything else as deemed necessary by the course instructor.
You will notice that the majority of the items listed above are technological in nature. If you have technical issues, it is up to you as a student to seek out the most appropriate and timely methods of correcting these issues, as directed by your instructor (see below). Keep in mind that you will be required to provide documentation of your communication with tech support should such issues arise.
FAQs
This is a list of commonly raised concerns. Please remember to address all issues with the proper sources. Your instructor and GTA are not tech support.
