Extra Credit
If I decide to offer extra credit, it will be available to the class as a whole. No individual extra credit will be offered.

- PackBack: Consistent quality posts in Packback over the course of the semester may result in some extra credit points. Those who rank in Pb’s Top 10 list at the end of the semester will earn bonus points to be added to their final Packback grade.
- SOIs: At the end of the semester, UA will send out emails regarding Student Opinion of Instruction Surveys (SOIs). These surveys are completely anonymous, and they are very important to the college, as they are used to measure the success of a course and its instructor. I cannot see the responses to the SOIs until next semester, and again, they remain fully anonymous. However, I can track the response rate during the current semester. Therefore, if the majority of the class (roughly 80%) completes the SOIs, I will give the entire class bonus points added to the final course grade. Please DO NOT send me screenshots of your completion page. You will have until 11:59pm on Friday of Dead Week to complete the SOI for extra credit. You may use the official class communication platform (Blackboard, GroupMe, Discord, etc.) to encourage and remind your classmates to complete the surveys (just don’t harass people, obviously, or the extra credit will be canceled and the incident will be reported to the proper UA authorities). - Prof. Treadway's Feedback Request Form: The SOIs are for official UA channels, but the feedback survey is for my own purposes so that I can measure the success (or lack thereof) of my own policies and instructional techniques. I truly try to take student suggestions into account when creating my courses, so I find this feedback exceptionally helpful. You will input your Crimson email account on the form so that you may receive extra credit points added to your final course grade, but your identifying information will not be tied to your responses. More info available in the Final Module on Blackboard.
- Additional opportunities may become available throughout the semester. They will be shared via our official class communication platform (Teams, Discord, etc.) as they arise. Please note that any events that are posted as extra credit will only apply to Prof. Treadway's courses.
You should not count on extra credit to make a desirable grade in this or any class.
